Pregnancy somehow feels like it lasts forever and no time at all.
One day you’re announcing the news, and the next you’re suddenly realizing the baby will be here in just a few weeks.
That’s why maternity sessions are usually scheduled between 28 and 34 weeks. At this point your bump is beautifully round, but you’re still comfortable enough to move, pose, and enjoy the experience.
Many Long Island moms tell me they almost skipped maternity photos because they didn’t feel “ready” yet. But once the session begins, something shifts. Instead of focusing on how pregnancy feels day to day, you get to pause and really see the moment you’re in.
The quiet anticipation.
The connection between you and your partner.
The tiny person you haven’t met yet but already love.
Maternity portraits become part of your baby’s story. One day, they’ll look back and see the moment before everything changed.
And while newborn photos capture the very beginning of their life, maternity photos capture the moment right before it all begins.
