I am a newborn photographer serving Long Island, NY and the surrounding areas. I have been photographing newborns for over 5 years and love every minute of it!
Long Island Holiday Photos
Can you believe it’s already back to school! That also means holiday photos!!! I am super excited. This year I am only doing outdoor setups, if you want an indoor just let me know, I have a few options available.
This is the complete setup! I may add a few things here and there, but for the most part this is it for the holiday mini session! I am pretty excited about it, I’ve had this floating around and was happy to find pieces that matched my vision, now if only the weather would! I tend to think less is more, I have some cute little felt marshmallows on sticks to roast over the fire to make the felt smores.
Fun fact, when I dragged my girls and my nieces to test the setup, I knew the exact location, when we got there I set it up, looked at it and it just didn’t work. I moved it maybe 5 times, by time I found a spot that I thought was good, and setup, they were done! I have a few minor tweaks I am going to do, but overall, I think it’s a cute little camping setup. If you want any advice on what to wear, please feel free to email me your ideas, I love helping to pic that perfect outfit!
I am also going to run a few day specials with this holiday sessions, one day is going to be a buy one get one 50% off, so if you and a friend are looking for holiday portraits, come down and both sessions will be $160 each!
I am also going to do another day of “Name your own price shoot!” There is going to be a minimum of $75, there will only be 5 slots available for this, so be sure to watch for the announcement. If you want a heads up, feel free to email me at Gina@GinaMarieArts.com to be added to my mailing list!
Having those photos taken of your new little one is such an exciting time, they really do grow so fast, and I am not sure about everyone else, but I barely remember the first three months home, also known as the fourth trimester. I look at my now 5 month old and I wonder where did time go, it was just yesterday she was snuggled up next to me, making those sweet newborn sounds, now she is screeching and rolling!
Once you decide to use me as your newborn photographer, I will send you a getting ready guide and a questionnaire. The getting ready guide outlines steps that will give some advice to ensure we have a smooth session, such as, put a sleeper on your little one that zips or buttons up the front, no onesies that have to go over their heads, and put the diaper on loosely, this will help eliminate those red diaper lines.
I also send a link to a questionnaire, this is to get to know you better and your expectations for our shoot together. I like to know what colors you want, what colors you don’t want, do you prefer more hats or headbands. Since I come to you, I like to know ahead of time so I make sure to bring the right props.
I am going to have you either turn off the ac in the summer or make the heat higher in the winter. I do bring a space heater, but sometimes it’s not enough and the tiniest draft can make new babies uncomfortable.
99% of the time I photograph the baby with siblings first, I then do mom and dad shots and then a family shot, this let’s the older ones be done with the shoot and can go play in the other room, then it’s the baby’s turn. On a good day, I will be in an out in about 2 hours, then you have the rest of the day to relax 🙂
Long Island Newborn Portraits Photographer
Newborn Portraits have to be some of my favorite photos. This little guy did amazing at his newborn photoshoot. He was sleepy and a great poser, who can ask for anything more when doing newborn portraits. Big brother didn’t love the idea of photos, but we managed to get a few with him, and they came out adorable!
As a photographer, I love seeing families during the year to capture all those milestones. I first met this adorable family when we did his big sister’s holiday portraits. We had such a blast! I was so excited to meet the new addition. J is such a great big sister to little O, he is so lucky to have her!
Baby portraits really are so much fun to do, I love the simple ones ,t hat really just showcase the baby, no fancy props or wraps, just those sweet little ones.
Did you know, you will receive a free maternity shoot with any booked full newborn session! Email me at email@example.com for more information!
Little M’s Newborn Photographs
What a fun shoot this was! M was so squishy and soft, I love a squishy newborn 🙂 He totally rocked his session! Can he be any cuter! His mom is not only super mom, but she runs a dog rescue, we got some cute shots of M and his big fur-sister.
Cake Smash for Mr. M!
I first met this little dude at his newborn photo session, which was a lot of fun! When mom called to do his cake smash, I was so excited! I love seeing “my babies” grow, it was so exciting to see him smash the cake, at one point he tried to lift up his cake smash cake! I love when the babies really love the cake. Even his cat wanted in on the shoot!
Not all the babies love a cake smash, some don’t want to touch it, some get so enthralled in it, they don’t even look at the camera, some love it, and some babies love their cakes so much they face plant into it! It’s always fun to see how everyone reacts to the cake. I always thought that babies would just jump at it, but that is not always the case.
